Because it is. Since 2017, Signature Signs & Lighting has designed, fabricated, and installed commercial signs from our shop in Jacksonville, Illinois. That means monument signs, channel letters, LED message centers, and the lighting that keeps them working after dark.
Today that shop is a 12,000 square foot production facility, our crews install from Springfield to Peoria, and our ship-anywhere program puts Jacksonville-built signs in front of businesses in all 50 states.
Collin Andrews starts Signature Signs on the west side of Jacksonville, cutting vinyl and building storefront signs for hometown businesses that were tired of ordering from faceless national printers.
Word spreads, and the work gets bigger: lighted cabinets, channel letters, monument bases, LED message centers. The shop adds the trades most sign companies subcontract away, including design and engineering, electrical, concrete, and masonry.
Signature Signs acquires New Era Signs of Decatur, a shop that spent years building its own loyal following across Decatur, Mt. Zion, Forsyth, and Macon. New Era’s customers kept the craftsmanship they trusted, and the combined company now covers Central Illinois from both sides.
The team moves from its original 2,000 square foot shop on South Kosciusko to a 12,000 square foot production facility at 316 E College Ave. Six times the floor, room for bigger cabinets, faster turnarounds, and a growing crew.
Signs designed in our free 3D builder, fabricated in Jacksonville, and either installed by our own crews and vetted partners anywhere in the country, or crated and shipped with stamped drawings for yours.
New Era Signs spent years earning its reputation as Decatur’s go-to sign shop, serving Decatur, Mt. Zion, Forsyth, Macon, and the surrounding communities. When Signature Signs acquired New Era, we didn’t retire that name. We put it on ours.
